Haiti Rebuild

Haiti Rebuild

Haiti rebuilding efforts continue three years after quake.

On January 12, 2010, a 7.0 magnitude earthquake ripped through Haiti, destroying much of the nation’s capital city, Port-au-Prince.

More than 200,00 people were estimated to have been killed in the earthquake and one million more left homeless.

Three years after the island nation of Haiti was rocked by a devastation earthquake, efforts to rebuild the country have made progress, but…

there is still much more to be done!

Lifechurch and its partners are currently engaged in several life-giving, life-changing initiatives throughout Haiti…

Water Point & Quality Testing

Through collaboration with Fish Ministries, the University of Florida, Jocelyn Widmer and Lifechurch we purpose to provide a critical service on a regional scale with measurable public health outcomes for the people affected by water scarcity and poor water quality.

Our long-term objective is to provide access to clean water to the people of Gressill and Leogane, Haiti.

Restavek Freedom Community Center & Transitional House

Under the leadership of Ray & Joan Conn, a group consisting of child advocates, community leaders, doctors, social workers, volunteers, students and parents purpose to end child slavery in Haiti. Lifechurch has joined this group to end child slavery.

Lifechurch has installed a playground at the Restavek Freedom Foundation community and assisted in the construction of the Center in 2012.

Currently, Lifechurch is assisting in the launch of a computer lab at the center and trade school. These two initiatives will continue to empower the Haitian people to live the life that God intended.

On Friday May 17th, 2013 the Miracle Village Fire Station will officially open, serving the entire region. Jonathan and James are presently training twelve recruits who will graduate and become the regions very first Fire Fighters.  Through the generosity of LifeChurch, friends, and partners the Miracle Village Fire Station/Fire Fighters will be in full operation as of May 2013.

Also, we would like to thank the Allentown, Bethlehem, Western Salisbury and the Lehigh Valley Airport Fire Departments for their donations of equipment. Due to the collaborative efforts this once imagined innovative has now become a reality.
